Dan "Danno" Austin (named after folk singer Dan Fogelburg) has always enjoyed singing and arranging instruments onto whatever electronics he could mate together. It had been a long time dream of Dan's to produce/engineer music for a living. In his early 20's, he began making instrumental beats and multi-tracking for an underground hip/hop label while providing the occasional backing vocals. He eventually thought it was a good idea to join a band to get experience "on the other side of the equipment." Dan's dad was a gigging drummer and invited him into his classic rock cover band to gain some experience. As he developed his singing voice and confidence, he then decided to join military buddy and Clinch46 bass player "Shack" in an original metal/alternative band to play and write some "newer stuff." As with any group of military guys it became hard to stay together with deployments and such. Dan continued to shape his comfort behind a microphone from his favorite musical outlet worship. His love for a wide variety of music was welcomed at Shoreline Church of Destin Florida where "radioplay" type songs are used to connect messages to people leery of church and religion. Dan joined the now Clinch46 band just for one Halloween party. The guys thought they had something special and the band started from there!
musical influences
"My influences are pretty strange. I love anything from Mariah Carey, Journey, Wu-Tang Clan, Dave Mathews, Soundgarden and back to Jodeci."
