Clinch 46 formed in 2008 when original guitarist, Ben Rosciglione and drummer Ross Matson were introduced by a mutual friend.? Shack joined the band shortly after to play bass for “one show”.? SHACK:? “Ben asked me to pull bass duties for a party and being from a metal/rock background, I pulled Danno into the mix.?Back then, we had a female singer and were doing all sorts of tunes that I didn’t even know. So, to make it easier for me I brought in Danno to do some rock tunes”.
After just a handful of shows, the female singer moved away and Dan found himself fulfilling the now lone vocalist position. Eventually Ben had to move on as well and Clinch went out in search of a lead guitar player. ROSS:?“We auditioned several guitar players over a period of a few months. There were some talented guys that came out but, none of them seemed to fill the order for us.? The last guy to answer the add was Ron.?He showed up to the audition and seemed really motivated, versatile, and well rehearsed.? Then we saw that he had a van.? That was deal clincher right there”.
In late 2009 Ron Todd took on the lead guitar duties for the band and line-up has remained the same since.
